There are extensive files of large-format nature photography from close-ups to large-scale scenics that include a wide range of seasonal and geographic diversity.

In-depth coverage includes the  Greater San Francisco Bay Area, wine country and vineyards, the California Coast, Southwestern deserts and the Sierra Nevada.

The portfolio includes the Rocky Mountains, the Pacific Northwest, including Arizona, Nevada, Utah and New Mexico, covering wildflowers and the regional geology in great depth. There are also selected files of the eastern United States, including the Carolinas and Maine.

Ed's work is created  primarily in large format 4x5 originals which are scanned to digital files. He has also used medium format, and in recent years has moved to digital capture in his portfolio. These files are then used to fill the specific needs of photo editors and publications as well as to create large Fine-Art prints. The prints are created from the best museum-quality, archival materials and printed on Fuji Crystal-Archive papers. They are included in numerous public, corporate and private collections.
